Tytyty for the iOS 8 iPhone app update! Truly the best and easiest subsonic app ever!

This is an excellent application that makes your home Subsonic music server installation that much more valuablefor mobile, on the road streaming of your entire music library. This is the best app on the market, bar none. Add to this that the developer was able to quickly get a new version out for iOS8and you have yourself a five star app.

After a week of failed attempts to get my new iPhone 6 to sync music with the latest version of iTunes I finally just installed this instead and saved the files to the app’s cache. Setting up the subsonic server and getting the app configured was simple compared to the endless headaches with iTunes. The interface on iSub is great and the app is very stable.

Crashing on iOS 8.1

Crash on load after played a few cached songs that hung the app...

i like it, but still no airplay. I can see the icon, but not working Update too slow. Update on iPad was great, but now iPhone has a prob 10-31-2014: Needs update for iPhone 6+, 8.1 firmware. Crashes a lot.

On an iPhone 6+ 128GB with a clean install of iOS 8.1. Every time I tap on the icon, it pops up for a brief second and then immediately crashes back to my home screen. Please fix and I will change my rating to 5 stars!

I took a long hiatus from subsonic, but have recently began using it again on my Windows 10 VM on my dedicated server. In terms of barebones subsonic, its a great tool to bring all my music to any device. With this app, that sentence is truly realized. The functionality it poses is not only great for listening to music from my phone, but ranges from many invaluable controls brought over from the real deal. Juke Box is by far one of my favorite, since I use my Windows VM as a music portal though Teamspeak. With Juke Box on my phone, I can now control the bot with a couple simple clicks from my phone, without having to log in through Remote Desktop. For Functionality, the ratings are 5/5. Though the only issues I have come across are interface bugs (especially on the iPad). They arent major, but do cause a bit of trouble every now and then. The interface on the iPad occasionally messes up and a button or two will stop working (like the volume slider or the skip 30 sec ahead/back buttons. The whole idea of sliding through file tabs is nice and fluid, but could use some work (its on the right track and I love it, but looks and performs at tad odd in landscape view). Landscape view is usually where I have the most issues on the iPad, where the chat button is often under the music title. Overall though, this app is all about bringing music to your mobile in whole new ways; so with that, I rate it exceptional. Im glad to see this app still getting updates even after not using subsonic for a long time.

The functionality is pitch perfect and unmatched (hence the 5 stars). I know that the developer has moved on, but I really wish he could devote a little time to an ios 8 redesign. Thats really the apps only flaw...it looks outdated.

Extremely frustrating. 1) It does not tell you that you need to download the app to your computer first before you do to your device. 2) It does not tell you that you can NOT use your own FTP server. It makes you use one IT makes. 3) After paying $5 for this app, you find out it is a "trial version" and must upgrade to keep using it after 29 days for a $1/month. 4) Crashes constantly on the computer. 5) you MUST have your computer ON at all times when using away from home and the port must be left OPEN in order for it to work.

This guy is a class act through and through. The fact that I will be able to continue to use this app in future releases makes upgrading a lot easier. I just wanted to add to my earlier review (below) as this move should be specially commended. Thanks for an awesome product. Even with an iTunes Plus account, I still use this app 60-70% of the time for my music. EARLIER REVIEW I can not tell you how much I appreciate the fact that this app now works on iOS 8. There is nothing out there that is anywhere close to this and was seriously the reason I held on to my iPhone 4s with iOS 7.1.2! Everything else just seems half-finished in comparison. I know the developer doesnt have a lot of time to continue to support this, so its awesome that hes kept it going. Thank you.

I love this app. One of my all time favorites. Works perfectly with SubSonic running on my Mac Mini. I can listen to my entire library anywhere. My favorite and simple feature is the one-tap large text display. No other music player has this. I love it. I can actually read the display in the car without any distractions. Perfect!!

The best Subsonic iOS client gets stable! Thank you for returning to squash bugs. Even through the frequent crashes I continued to use, as no other client comes close on iOS for form and function. Now everything works awesome on my iPhone 6 Plus. Thank You

this is how you develop and support. Even after taking a full time job elsewhere some time ago we continue to get compatibility updates from this dev. Thank you. This is still possibly my favorite and one of my most used iOS apps.

I can’t thank you enough for updating iSub to support the i6 and i6+. It works flawlessly now and is by FAR the best streaming solution out there. This has saved me over $100 per year by not having to pay for an inferior cloud streaming service.

I just wanted to say thanks to the developer for continued support! Also, I cant say this about any other app I have on m phone, but I literally use this app everyday to listen to audio books. I have an hour drive to work and this has allowed me to get back into "reading" books.

I only used to use subsonic for only web browser on computer. I used to use audiotap for the iphone til it completely stopped working recently. I tried some free subsonic app on iphone and that didnt work at all. So I decided to just give this app a shot and I regret not trying it earlier. Works flawlessly. Love every bit about this. All the features, interface, etc, everything!!!!!

Thanks so much for the decision to continue to support this app! Couldnt imagine my music collection without it.
